We Are FIRST Team 811!

Team 811, "The Cardinals," is Bishop Guertin High School's FIRST Robotics Competition team. While we started in 2002, our roots go back to 1993. Over the years we've competed successfully in regional and championship competitions in Manchester NH, New Haven CT, Orlando FL, Houston TX, Atlanta GA, and St. Louis MO, as well as several off-season competitions. But our success is measured not so much in the numerous trophies and accolades we've earned, but in the long list of students who have done amazing things after graduating from our team.

About FIRST

FIRST (an acronym meaning For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an annual high school competition that encourages students to explore science and technology. Founded by Dean Kamen in 1989, the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) gives teams of students just six weeks to design, build, and complete a functioning robot to complete complex tasks in a tournament setting. The teams then compete with and against other teams at District and Regional venues, and ultimately at the Championship Event in St. Louis
